Building Information Modelling (BIM) for mtp means the logical continuation of the planning process, in which the BIM model links 3D planning with the structured information of the manufacturer-neutral device database, which mtp has built up over many years.
To this end mtp has developed company-neutral, intelligent CAD objects that have already been tested in various projects. The constant further development of our own standards with regard to the 3D representation of the devices and the corresponding, extensive device database thereby in focus.
The aim is to transfer an optimal BIM model consisting of a 3D model and data model to the facility management for further use.
At the new University Hospital for Geriatric Medicine and Rehabilitation Felix Platter in Basel, mtp was able to help develop and execute a project completely implemented in BIM and for the first time hand over the comprehensive model with all the data relevant to the medical equipment for commissioning.
The BIM methodology used is already being applied in other projects.
